I try putting transparency supersampling to 4x SGSSAA in DX11 games with my 680. I do it with the latest version of inspector. It doesn't seem to work as often as I'd like.
While Uniengine Heaven works well, Crysis 2 seems unaffected and BF3 gives average results at a performance cost that is way too high. Way higher than other games.
Also, some people say that SGSSAA is not full screen in DX10+ but only where MSAA is applied. Is that true?

Yeah that and also, the correct term for SGSSAA is FSSGSSAA (FullSceneSparseGridSuperSamplingAntiAliasing) Which means it processes the whole scene rather than just Alpha tested objects that standard TRSSAA applies AA to (called TRSGSSAA)
http://naturalviolence.webs.com/sgssaa.htm
And you have to use a form of MSAA with the same amount of Color samples for FSSGSSAA to work correctly.

Thanks guys. So SGSSAA really is full screen even in DX10+.
I guess that makes this post wrong or does it? It says some parts of the screen are excluded from MSAA.
To be honest, MSAA 4x + SGSSAA 4x does not look that good in BF3. I can still see some jaggies.
Regarding Crysis 2, there is really no MSAA in that game. What a shame for a supposedly state-of-the-art engine.

Just a heads up, even though I don't post that I updated the original post, I am. Pretty much as soon as a new flag is posted I add it to the OP.

Various flags work with this game (UE3 game flags)
But none of them reduce aliasing very much. Not even SGSSAA.
And nearly all AA takes a huge hit in performance.
Twas a deal breaker for me.

Best way to do it is use in game FXAA+Downsampling (In game FXAA is actually pretty good. Looks much nicer to my eyes than the MLAA implementation)
2732x1536 FXAA downsampled to 1600X900(my monitor resolution. I play @ the former resolution)

If you want me to post the raw 2732x1536 file I can.
The above is pretty much what I see when playing the game. So *shrug*

Just tested the 16xS (mixed supersampling and multisampling mode) in Mass Effect 2 and the results are incredible. Memory usage is incredible too. It maxes out all ram on my GTX 570, I hope it doesn't do that any more when my GTX 680 arrives. It's clearly the bottleneck.
1:1 crop, no downsampling:

its using some kind of postprocessing EdgeAA. you'd probably be better off with driver's FXAA anyway.
looking into "..\Risen 2 Dark Waters\data\ini\ConfigDefault.xml" file there's also a variable - MSAA="0"
I tried pasting it into "..\AppData\Local\Risen2\Config\ConfigUser.xml " with different values, but resulted in black screen ingame.

It does?!?
I've just had a look at the three dozen screenshots I took during the two stress test and I cannot see a single jaggy in them whether I was zoomed out or in.
