Optical cable broken? -

I have an Auzen Meridian 7.1 2G, and I am using the optical cable to connect it to my Z-5500 control pod.
While re-arranging my PC cables, I noticed that the optical cable has a 'red spot' approximately in the middle. Does that mean the cable is broken at that point? Thanks |
