I'm very interested/excited for the game.
But, I could care less what Crytek have to say about it. And that's been my basic feeling on them as a company since FarCry.
I love FarCry, but Crytek's constant "There'll be quick save/load in a patch soon..." put me off. Then their demo at an E3 stating that Crysis could be maxed out smoothly on a 8800 with solid frame rates....
Them saying random sh*t isn't something that happened with Crysis 2. It's been part of the company since day one.
I will get the game, but I have zero interest in anything Crytek have to say about it.

Alcatraz became Prophet at the end of C2 thanks to the equal bond with the nanosuit as their dna was fused into one single being.
And yes I love me some good old lense flare!

Yes, Alcatraz becomes Prophet at the end of Crysis 2 as his mind and body fuse with the consciousness of the nanosuit.
Remember that Alcatraz was a "dead man walking" as the suit completely fused into his body through various injuries he had.

You remember incorrectly. Prophet said "I'm used up, I'm a dead man walking". Prophet was the dead man walking.

They were all "dead men walking". Anyone in the suit. This was mentioned in the Crysis comics as well, in reference to all the original team.
Yes, Prophet says that at the beginning of the game... but it's made clear throughout Crysis 2 that Alcatraz would be dead without the nanosuit.
That it was now impossible to separate the two.

There was a distinct reason Prophet chose Alcatraz you know. The path of less resistance meant he saved a dying man in his final moments which made the entire process much quicker.
If that makes any sense lol.

New EDGE preview
Quote:
Deep inside Crytek’s Frankfurt HQ, a demo takes us to the ruins of Chinatown. Night has fallen as Prophet emerges from the subway, foliage slowly thinning to reveal a rusty escalator rising from a stagnant swamp. Upstairs lies a shattered ballroom, walls and ceiling ripped away, a single chandelier swinging as a flying Ceph craft sweeps past.
Beyond the ballroom, it’s hard to tell where the jungle ends and the city begins – or, more pertinently, where Crysis 1 gives way to Crysis 2.

I really wish Crytek would do more with the cover system from Crysis 2. That game's cover system was the best I've ever seen in FPS games to this day, yet the level designs didn't really encourage us players to use it.
Perhaps it has to do with how useful the whole stealth aspect of the nano suit was, but since player have to shoot at something at some point of the game, I'm sure the cover system can be used more for better gameplay overall.

I'm SOOOOOOO looking forward to using that bow and arrow, it's not even funny anymore.
Too many games focus on the cliche and stupid. Who gives a sh*t about an AK-47 in Black-Ops? Crossbow freakin rocks. Don't think i've played a single game yet (besides maybe Counter-Strike) where the AK was worth a damn. GIVE US BOW'S!!!

Actually looking forward to this game even though i'm not a big fan of the previous games, but if they can take the good points of the previous games then this could be third time lucky for Crytek.
