You're looking at the American site man. Free shipping is rare on the Canadian NewEgg site.

Ummm....no. If you're buying a board for it's full feature pack...it makes no sense at all to remove one of those features...

^ The feature is only optional. Without the Thermal Armor, superior case airflow combined with superior CPU aircooling will result in better temps on very high overclocks under sustained maximum loads.

The Thermal Armor allows fans to be installed to promote BETTER airflow across motherboard components than can be achieved with case fans.

If you don't want the thermal armor just get the DELUXE mobo, still has the beefed up CPU power supply but some extra features and is designed to be air cooled normally.
