I know there is a show us your photo thread, but I have 18 of a linked project.

My brief:

Quote:
This module is assessed by the work you create. The work will be a photographic portfolio handed in ready for exhibition.

The topic is entirely for you to choose, with one caveat: you may not do a set of photographs related to your dissertation topic.

This will consist of two elements

1. photographs you have taken exploring a geographical/environmental topic of your choice

2. The critical visual methodology explaining how the images represent and visualise the ideas

Number. Submit between 12-18 photographs, which must address your chosen geographical/environmental phenomena. Variation from this number range can be negotiated if you put a case that the (e.g. if the idea could be effectively represented by 100 tiny images then that is possible, with explanation and negotiation).
Mine will follow in the following 3 posts, I'm not going to post the 'critical visual methodology' due to possible plagiarism issues, should someone want to read it then I will send it via PM (at my discretion) after I have received my mark back in a few weeks.

Image quality wasn't wasn't a particular concern as long as it showed what you wanted (although for display purposes photo paper etc was recommended)

All photos are clickable thumbnails.

The Difference is Night and Day

I decided to select 8 areas in the Newcastle area (NE England) and take photos showing how different it is at night and day. Whether this be a total lack of life, or a completely different type of use by people.

For the presentation I printed the photos in 7x5" and mounted them on a A1 board in 4 rows of 4, the bottom half (the night photos) had a black background and were flipped.
You can't see on here but my board rotated to add some user interactivity, so you rotated it to see the night at the top the correct way round. To illustrate this online, I recreated my board in photoshop and have made a version in each orientation. The two mock ups and 16 photos follow below (6 per post).High res available on request.
Quality of photos was not a key issue for this although I am happy with most except some of the night ones (no tripod at the time, until the beach and road ones).

I know the Quayside (bridge) and the Uni (final one), don't show much of a difference, however I

decided to use them anyway.
