So are these, in effect, more alpha than beta drivers? The file size is smaller than the usual 200 MB*** for the International v30x.xx drivers I've been downloading and installing too so I'm guessing these are just US English?

(I prefer to use International ones only as I typically install over previous drivers and haven't had any problems doing that as long as I don't mix International/US English driver sets)

Man you have a deep contact with nVidia since they made you a customized 200 GB driver? Me wants too.

thanks for these, but they look older.. I've been following r300 branch and this is what's up

300.89: r300_68-13
300.99: r300_95-2

301.10: r300_68-51

301.24: r301_07-12
301.25: r301_07-14

301.32: r300_00-124



Idk if im gonna stay on these for long, because both r300_xx (300.89 and 300.99) caused TDR and I never had that before, ever.

IIRC Dev/Quadro/Tesla drivers are always international.

Is there any reason to install these considering the other v30x.xx drivers are using CUDA v4.2.1? If these are older then I don't see any point in installing them unless they have fixes that haven't been included in the other drivers (such as for Bully Scholarship Edition's black texture bug).

Luckily you have Vista/Windows 7, else you will just be BSOD-ing

What is TDR? Windows Vista has a new feature called Timeout Detection and Recovery (TDR).
TDR attempts to detect problematic situations and recover to a functional desktop dynamically.
In prior operating systems these situations would have resulted in a system freeze and forced customers to reboot their PC.

Common issues that can cause a TDR:

Incorrect memory timings or voltages
Insufficient/problematic PSU
Corrupt driver install
Overheating
Unstable overclocks (GPU or CPU)
Incorrect MB voltages (generally NB/SB)
Faulty graphics card
A badly written driver or piece of software, but this is an unlikely cause in most cases
Driver conflicts
Another possibility that people tend not to like to hear, is that you are simply asking too much of your graphics card.

What I mean by this, is that if you have your settings too high and the graphics card struggles and falls to very low FPS, then something graphically complex occurs, the GPU may not be able to respond and a TDR error may occur

yeah i know about TDR and i never had it before with any 28x.xx - 290.xx.. Only these two 300.89, 300.99 caused it, both times at desktop (nothing flash related).
Imo that's why there were never meant for public (other gpus)..301.10 were fixed but felt sluggish, 301.2x are ok.



Anyway I tested Resident Evil5 (fixed benchmark) and they ran slower compared to 301.25 with fps drops by loading new areas..

I reverted back to 301.25

Right-o, a change log would be nice if bothering to give these driver a try, rather then guessing what these drivers aim for, if anything. Perfectly fine though considering they exists only on the dev site.

Hmm might have to give these a try the other 301.xx drivers have had horrible stuttering for most games with VSync. I've been using the 300.89 drivers since I got my GTX680 as those are the only ones that give smooth performance.
