Yeah, I know what you mean.
DbtS is more like a novelty rather than a cult classic, almost akin to playing Star Wars with the Wiimote.
Interesting at first, but getting tedious over time.

well the DBTS story wasn't exactly mind blowing that's for sure, but what's more important than gameplay, that's what it had. 
i loved BoD too, great game.

it's a matter of personal preference really. 
also imo Rune had great multiplayer compared to the singleplayer story (which wasn't bad at all), Halls Of Valhalla was excellent.
