Rise Of The Argonauts

just got this on whim from steam for like 12$, turned out it's ace, great mindless action with a good selection of weapons and a nice story for once, based on greek mythology, lots of blood too.

underrated and unfairly butchered by some reviews imo.

Rise of the Argonauts is a good game indeed, but way to little playing time and little replay value because you can easily do everything in the game.

How would you compare the 2?
Deus Ex is:
-futuristic
-first person
-stealth/shooter

RotA is:
-historical
-third person
-action RPG

I don't now at what front they overlap to do a decent comparison, so the basic question is: is it your kind of game?

use this custom (type it).. 0x0000000A (that's 7 zeroes).

performance is excellent here, 60fps all the way through.

well it's very subtle, thus faster.. L4D flag looks stronger i was also forcing 4xSGSSAA thats why i cant run it @60FPS..

NO AO

0x0000000A (Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch)

0x00000006 (Left 4 Dead)

hl2 flag is no difference as far as I can see, l4d is ok, not sure it would be worth the fps drop though

look at the far area the hill over the lightinghouse youcan see the ao is there, it breaks fog with Hl2 flag.. but not effective on closer area so i think it is a waste..
about L4D flag, it looks good but a bit flickery on foliages.. i delayed to play the game today, i'll decide later whether i continue with AO or drop SGSSAA to 2x.. i need a sleep first lol..
