I'm really glad to see AMD is on top of this!

I will be testing these out tonight once I get home from work. I had no issues before with the DP all the way up to 11.11c/11.12 after them none of them would install the Display Drivers.

I'm glad to hear they are also going to keep supporting it!

Any hope of these being modded for 7900 series cards or are the required parts missing?

Patiently waiting for this answer. It's a shame that the new flagship cards get treated like this almost 3 months after they launch.

Edit: continue reading the posts under this, i will try to fix the install error tomorrow. For now you can install the driver via device manager, and the rest normally with catalyst install manager.

Ok Mod (hopefully) done, download HERE x64 ONLY.
Added support for HD7970/50, HD7770/50.
Since I don't have a HD7 I can't install the mod to see if it works, so you guys have to try it first.

Also check the supported card list for older series and mobility/firegl/pro cards. (can't guarantee if it will work for every card)

Thanks! I will try this tomorrow when i get home from work. You must teach me how to mod drivers one day, I fiddled with the inf's for ages and had no luck Do you actually have to patch in files from other drivers too or edit the cat files?

Thank you so very much! I am getting supremely pissed at how much AMD has been dropping the ball on the 7970 on release day and still even up to and including this ridiculousness. Ill let you know how it goes

I couldn't get the modded version to install either. I am currently running a forced install of 12.3 through device manager. No CCC, but Afterburner has working sliders and Powertune can be set to +20%.

Error messages
Driver Install: the installation failed

Lol useless install log is useless

Anyway, have you tried installing it via device manager?

Edit: CCC and other software are installed successfully right?
Will give it another go tomorrow to see if I can fix the driver installation error, in the meantime install the softwares with the catalyst install manager and the driver via device manager if possible.

Have to go to bed now Almost 2 AM here. :p Cya

It did install via device manager... although it sucks because overscan is messed up by default, and it says there are no configurations if you try to go in Control Center to fix it.

Trying out BF3 on ultra and seeing how well the drivers work, hoping for the best.
