Default Optoma ep709 - too green - 12-07-2011, 11:18 | posts: 43 | Location: England

Hi. I have an Optoma ep709 DLP projector, which has worked fine for 150 hours according to the timer, but suddenly it has taken a green tinge to everything. The warning lights have not come on for the lamp or temp so I assume that's not the problem. I have tried the different inputs (VGA and DVI), but the problem occurs on the menu screen as well, even without any input (the titles are green when they used to be blue). Also I have of course reset settings and checked the RGB values are at default. I've taken it apart and given it a bit of a clean but that made no difference. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? Maybe the colour wheel? I don't know much about projectors, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
