It's not a matter of perception, Seasonic are quite measurably better than the competition using whatever metric you prefer. Aside from price, obviously.
It may not be readily apparent from most reviews but there's quite a lot of in-depth ones that do confirm that regulation, ripple, efficiency and rated power are second to none.
You may argue that many of these things aren't strictly important for most users, I don't have an issue with that, but you can't say it's a matter of perception when something is measurably better.

Quantum physics delves into the idea that our reality is whatever we perceive it to be. Meaning that it's only because we are observing this constructed reality that it continues to exist..
it is a matter of perception, as in this context, is why people make the purchase, of what they choose.

Quantum Physics does nothing of the sort, it relies on the most probable explanation of things we have no means to thrououghly investigate. This doesn't in anyway relate to PSU units which are easily observed for indications of quality and superiority as already mentioned.
manufacturers such as Seasonic and channel well are the most popular choice, as an oem in the case of channel well, due to having the most robust and highest performing units in all kinds of tests and this really isn't up for debate, it's a fact. This is also why so many people go for their units, atleast in the context of harware enthusiasts and people who read reviews such as this one.
It's got absolutely nothing to do with perception, but the simple fact that the best performing units happen to be seasonic currently, this is also why they are highly acclaimed.
