Hey guys so with all your help and advice I am deciding on the Zotac AMP! Edition GTX 480. My problem is I just do not know if it will fit in my case with the triple slot cooler by Zalman.

I have a DELL XPS Studio 435MT upgraded with a new power supply and 6gb ddr3 memory and I actually was able to OC the i7 920 to around 2.9-3ghz on air running pretty cool but anyway it's not a super flashy case or setup but it getting the job done and I just want a very nice card as you all know to complete the setup for now.

Here are some pics, sorry for the quality and everything inside my case just for you guys to see if it looks like I have enough room:

I was also looking at the EVGA GeForce GTX 570 HD w/Display-Port (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 for $314.99, which has a smaller cooler and runs quieter and less power.

I will be buying this week coming up so getting my last critiques before I spend the money. Thanks

All of their 570's seems to be 2 Slots cards, so it should fit.

Worst case set your computer up out of the case on a cardboard box or something non-conductive till you could get a decent case. :p or just go with the 570.

It will be a tight fit with those cables on the motherboard down there and a lack of airflow but it should do.

lol you guys didn't see that I have a huge fan blowing in it from the outside and AC in my room pumping in airflow at the same time. I will find something to hoist it up on so it's not just on the ground.

yea that is really tight spaced..

imo for max 2 slot gpu.. That Zotac AMP will be out of the question.. and like i said in other thread don't go with stock cooled 480gtx it will generate to much heat in such small crammed space.

As much as you should worry about the width of the card, I'd be just as worried about the length of the card. Both cards are 11+ inches long.

wait! Don't put a huge GTX 480 in that Dell case with almost zero ventilation. It's also probably a space concern with 10.5" long cards coming up against other structures in the chassis.

You need something smaller...more reasonable.. like GTX 460 or GTX 560Ti

Guys, I just took a pic of the inside, it's not like that where I use it. I have it hoisted up with an external fan blowing in from the outside as well as air conditioning in my room pumped up. There is a decent amount of room width-wise in my case actually in front of the video card, just below it is my concern but I put in a Gigabyte R5770 and it fit in nicely with some room to spare under it for the wires. I agree and the Zotac AMP! GTX 480 with needing triple slots is gonna be reallll tight, so I'm not going to think about that.

I was looking at the double slotted GTX 570 and it looks like it'd fit and be really good and powerful in my computer. I just upgraded to 8gb ram as well and my cpu is oced at about 3ghz i7 now.

Why won't it let me update my system information in my user CP either booo! Says wrong format or something lol

*Update* Nevermind I fixed it now in my sig and I got my tower on a nice crate now and is better circulated with an external big ass fan blowing in and AC in my room. Def better airflow and cool in here.

there is a "security" question by Your details spec.

    its beneath OS
well if you say you have enough room - length wise, then yea go with 570.. But from what i've seen there isn't much around 300$ mark.

Yes! That is my exact PSU. I will be good with a gtx 480 or gtx 570 if it is dual slot. I like that MSI one though hehe
