Im using these UAA1.5 still, for over 1 year and never had any serious issues, plus it has 64bit bit support etc..
There are no sound tweaks in any of DK packs... that was with PAX suites but last time i asked him about these tweaks he said he's gonna drop them.
Well UAA is a little better because of better win vista/win7 support compared to WDM, its still wdm once you install it but there is something specific about them, i dont really know atm..
@Pill
you sure its not for Audigy and XFI might have a problem?

I have the same card as this (I think), it came out of a Lenovo ThinkStation S10 and has "SB0770" written on the board and "SB0772" in the serial number.
I have tried using the X-Fi Support Pack 2.0 drivers as it states that it supports the OEM models from Dell, Lenovo etc. but I get terrible sound quality (clicks, hisses, pops and general distortion).
The only drivers I have tried that give me good quality sound are the Vista drivers from the Lenovo site but then CMSS-3D does not work so I can not get surround sound when listening to music (I do get surround sound when watching TV or movies with 5.1 audio).
Please can someone advise me as to the best driver pack to install for this card?
Many thanks, Sim

Ok, tried the updated driver and get the same issue with distortion/clicks/pops etc. as I did with the Support Pack 2.0 drivers.
I also get this issue if I let Windows Update search for drivers or if I use the drivers from Creative using auto detect (This was tried when I first rebuilt my PC to Win7).
I think I might be forced to give up on this and either go back to the Vista drivers and live without surround sound for my music, or buy a new sound card that has decent support for Windows 7 x64. Can anyone recommend a 7.1 card with Toslink I/O for Win7x64?
Many thanks, Sim

No. You shouldn't run Windows 7 (x64? x86?) at all.

I'll give it a try.
I get BSOD-s on XP every time I play some new game.
Friend said (he also has old computer) than Win 7 solved all his problems, no BSOD and glitches.
But, I don't have sound driver.
Can you tell me is this right driver for me : C- media Ac97 version 5.12.1.51.

It doesn't look like there is a Win 7 driver for your soundcard, but according to the poster in that forum, the 8738 5.12.1.51 drivers work with your card...

now that i spotted this driver i tested it right away and its much better then A revision, also its newer then default UAA 1.5 driver 2.14 vs 2.17 by rev A, B.
I used original UAA 1.5 driver combined with sb xfi titanium iso disk sw (audio cpl, thx, volume panel,..), well i still am and like i said so far so good, every creative sw works, audio modes, openAL info in aida64, etc..
edit: nope i got some static noise and channel swapping in Q4 openAL..im back to good ol' uaa 1.5 driver

idk they just are
-they use both 64 and 32bit driver (std creative only 32bit, at least last 2-3 drivers),
-no (bass, treble) tweaks like by PAX, natural sound.
-and they're based on UAA (UAA is intended to be a complete replacement for developing WDM Audio Drivers; however, in some cases it may be necessary for an otherwise UAA-compliant audio device to expose capabilities that cannot be done through UAA. Windows will continue to fully support audio drivers that use the PortCls and AVStream drivers)..
although they're missing "what you hear", this is UAA limitation.

Hi welcome to the forums
hm, well he didn't update anything for some time now, but this set should work without any issues.
SB X-Fi Titanium PCI-E Install Disc 1.0 (unofficial)
http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.ph...97&postcount=9
---
Now if you do get any issues you can use this Titanium cd suite for Audio panel, volume panel,..
and install the driver from this pack
SB X-Fi Series AuzenForte Pack 1.0 (06/14/2010)
http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.ph...95&postcount=7
but i think you should be fine with standard driver from that titanium install disk.

Also can a dg owner comment on daniel k vs uni drivers? How do they stack up against each other in stability, features, performance, etc?
