Exclamation VLC issue with choppy playback - 05-18-2011, 01:28 | posts: 14 | Location: up high

Hey all,

This is my first post in this forum, so thanks in advance for all your input

I have looked everywhere for a fix for this and NO ONE has anything relevant to add so far....

Lately, VLC playback of video, especially MKV's is uber choppy, like watching stop-frame animation.....aarrrggghhh!

This still happens after a fresh install of windows. All drivers are up to date. I am fairly knowledgeable of computers and I usually am the one people come to to fix these type of problems, but I cannot get this one.

YES- I have went to using MPC-HT and it works fine, using the DXVA....

But my question is about VLC---why has this started, and it seems to be a common problem after I googled it.

Thank you again for your helpful help.....
