nGlide - A Glide Wrapper. Nuff said i think.

For those who doesn't know what it is.
Quote:
nGlide v0.95 is released. nGlide is a 3Dfx Voodoo Glide wrapper which means it 'emulates' 3Dfx Glide Library, so you don't need to have a 3Dfx Voodoo card to play games written for Glide API. Both versions of Glide API are supported, Glide2 (glide2x.dll) and Glide3 (glide3x.dll). nGlide translates all Glide callings to Direct3D, which is supported by almost all today's graphics cards.

(Somehow, in their web page "Zeus-Software", the new version isn't posted. Just got to EmuCR page to download it)

It runs at full speed. No slowdowns what so ever BUT, i think is not worth it as the max color depth is 16 bit. You are better of with the DX9 plugin or even OpenGl.

I remember getting a different Glide wrapper a year ago that supported 32bit, AA, AF, and plenty of other standards from it's own control panel, so this one is a bit disappointing.

Yeah, well, but, consider that it's just kicking of. Give it some time. It's REALLY solid and plays a lot of games really well.
I have high hopes for it.

hmm, could be nice, even with the 16-bit limitation (for classic gaming)! I just recently did a full format and reinstall and need a new Glide wrapper. I wonder how this one will stack up to Zeckensack's

For fact, it's newly developed, meaning that, newer cards are better supported, plus, it's maintained and has a forum where you can get support.
I see a really nice future from this glide wrapper.

I just installed it and gave it a test run with the original Unreal. Damn its been a long time since i've played this game, and I forgot how slippery those damn Skarrj were lol. I lost track of time and was playing for nearly an hour and a half. Throw in daylight savings time, and I lost another hour!

It ran great on nGlide
