How do you tell if its underexposed, because I don't seem to notice unless someone points it out..
Have you calibrated your monitor ?

it seems properly calibrated looking at the white-black scales on this and other websites, and its not that I don't see the photo as underexposed at all, its that I don't realise it until someone points it out then once I see it, I can see it all the time for that photo, lol

Just kinda bored. Got the idea from a buddy of taking a single pic with all your old cell phones. I don't have my oldest one though.

DSC_077778 by PFULMTL

I did take some pics at a car show over the weekend. Nothing great, just pics.
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?id...3067&aid=32976
When I go again next month, I plan to single out a single part of a car and just put that in focus up close. I'm thinking just rims, engines, or lights because there is so much variety and sometimes they can be so very detailed.

Just one i took the other evening with a Tamron 300mm, all i've done is cropped it and added a little sharpening.

It was sort of bright red/orange/brown due to the sunlight lighting it from behind, then i just adjusted the hue for oranges and reds, changed the white balance to slightly cooler and desaturated a little bit and so on.

We did try to take them with her stood as if she was walking, but these looked rubbish, so she HAD TO be walking.
Unfortunately those she did do it correctly suffered with bad focusing.

Incidently, it was lit with 2 (on camera style) flash guns remotely triggered and positioned inside a couple of doors next to her and behind her.

This last one again was lit by 2 flashes, remotely triggered. On to her left and one about 50 foot behind her. I did have a third but it packed up and stopped working for some reason.
The pics look weird because of her lack of trigger discipline.

I didnt think they looked 'weird', what discipline do you mean? Its an 18 year old girl holding a couple of toy guns from the pound shop, lol.
But thanks for your opinion.

Had a bit of a mess around today with a spent wine bottle and coloured water...

And the set up...

I will re-do them again in PS to get the glass looking better, this was just a quick mess around.
