Default Afterburner acting strange - 03-19-2010, 19:41 | posts: 4 | Location: Maine

I downloaded the new version this morning when I found out about the release. First thing I noticed is that my clock speeds will not surpass what catalyst offered. Voltage does work, and my temps rose as I played with the slide so that is working. So I figured, I'll do a fresh install and make sure everything is fresh and new. Downloaded the latest drivers. Downloaded afterburner. Same issue, still cannot overclock past 875 and 1200. So I said oh well, deal with it later, and closed out afterburner. My screen went black and the video card fan is spinning full speed. I press the reset button. Get back into windows, and I pull up afterburner again. As soon as it asks to run and I click okay, the screen goes completely black again and the fan spins out of control. I think I did everything right. I have the latest bios MSI offers and as far as I know everything looks good. Any ideas?
