Default Riva Tuner 2.24 not working with Catalyst 9.8 - 08-22-2009, 19:20 | posts: 5

Hello everyone.

I'm having problems with Riva Tuner 2.24. I own a Radeon HD 4770 and i wished to overclock it. The thing is, I've reached the overclock limit using Catalyst Control Center, so i wanted to overclock it more. But when I start Riva Tuner soome options are missing, impeding me from overclocking at all. I'm using Catalyst 9.8 and I think it's a version Riva Tuner does not support yet.

I tried on both Vista 64-bit and XP 32-bit and the problem remains with both operating systems. And yes, I configured that file so it may support the HD 4770.

So is the problem what I think it is? If it is, will Riva Tuner 2.25 fix it?
Thank you all for your support in advance.

Go 2 C:\Program Files (x86)\RivaTuner v2.24 and find such file as "RivaTuner.cfg"
Open it by Notepad. Find this line "RV770 = 9440h-9443h,944Ch"
Add this "94B3h"
Will be "RV770 = 9440h-9443h,944Ch,94B3h"
Save.

That's all! Overclocking functions will be unlocked for your 4770!
Gd luck.

Having the same problem with a 4890. I tried the method above but I am still not able to access all the functions in Rivatuner. Using Rviatuner 2.24 and Catalyst drivers 9.8. OS is Windows 7.
