Forcing AA from CP works for me again, however the Fan still stays at the top speed from game and wont go back even after leaving it cool for some time.

Games aren't meant to be alt tabbed in the first place, so if it works or not, no body really cares.

I've had stuttering problems in numerous games with the betas. To be more specific, upon launching a game the start screen would appear and freeze immediately for 4-5 seconds. Afterwards everything was working fine though. Anyone with a similiar experience around here?

Hello.

My name is "no body" and I really do care.

Two copper pieces tells me you don't even play WoW, or pretty much any non-twitch game, if you're subscribing to the idea that you "aren't meant to" alt-tab out of games.

Being able to look things up on WoWhead, troll the official forums or just call up a friend on Skype while playing is pretty central to the experience for me. And not just me at that.

This concludes todays lesson on the subject.

Hello, Im new to the forums and this is a forum for nvidia drivers so it is appropriate to post this question here. The alt-tabbing in WOW is no doubt a driver issue and not a game issue. Been rolling back to 182.50 myself for the last few months to avoid it. Amongst a few other things that arent compatable with WOW or simply do not work well.

Is the Alt-tabbing issue fixed?

Anyone confirm?
Getting tireed of installing and rolling back every time something new comes out just to see issues arent resolved.

How come the control panel doesn't have features to control fans and stuff?? I'm not getting Rivatuner until it can read these drivers. Had a terrible issue where Rivatuner wasn't reading the driver I had installed and even though I manually did make it understand through power settings it still didn't. Can anyone guide me to get those drivers. Thanks.

Running a 7950GT and Windows 7 x64 RC1 (7100).

With the 190.38 WHQL the alt-tab issue with WoW seems to be cured, no more 185.85 for me anyway.

Wow, all things you AREN'T supposed to do while running a game.

Way to prove my point. Real gamers don't run crap loads of stuff in the background.

Besides, Blizzard doesn't like alt tabbing out of the game as it allows you to set up bots n crap.

anyway, doesn't Winkey+Tab work?

You need nvidia system tools for fan, clock and temp controls/readings.

Oh my.

Are you trolling or just naturally gifted?

'Real gamers' indeed.

I stand by my previous assessment, you simply don't play anything by single-player FPS games. Which is quite alright of course, to each his own, but perhaps you should refrain from judging people over things you lack any and all insight into?

Might help make you seem less of a douche.

Well Arma2 runs very well with the 8800's again. Finally. The game seems less laggy and stuff. Thank god.

Since you edited your post to be mildly on topic I thought I might take the time to expand upon the issue.

There were never an issue actually tabbing back and forth from the desktop and WoW with any driver. However, all the 186 releases added a delay of 20-30 seconds between tabbing and the screen actually appearing.

Which was annoying, to say the least.

This might have only applied to Vista- and Windows 7-users, though I can't say for sure.

Anyway, with the 190.38 WHQL release it's been fixed. At least for me, hopefully for everyone else suffering from the issue as well.

- Call of Duty - World at War : V-sync bug is still there, but startup loading time is less now, but its still faster to load without v-sync.
Getting some better performance thou.
- Team Fortress 2 : No changes.
- Race driver GRID : No changes.
- World of Warcraft : No changes, alt+tab works just fine.

Screen Tearing in WMP is gone too, I have Essential Media Codec 2.3d and had some troubles with screen tearing in WMP with previous drivers. But now its gone. so thats good

haha, your assessment fails. maybe you should know exactly who i am (well atleast, was...) before assessing anything.

I play a multitude of games, FPS. RTS, SRTS, MMORPG (though i consider WoW to be for crazy people) Racing, Space/Flight Sims, and Emulation. Alt tabbing is not just a waste of time for me, its also a crash risk factor in the poorer written games.

Glad its working for you again though, not because i care about the function, but because you seem to.

Size ain't the same here. The Vista x64 betas are 118MB, the WHQL 112MB.

Will take a look at the difference later.
