This is a Beta driver for GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9, and 200-series desktop GPUs.
New in Release 185.81:
  • Adds support for the new GeForce GTX 275 GPU.
  • Adds support for Ambient Occlusion – the newest NVIDIA Control Panel feature to offer enhanced 3D gaming realism exclusively to GeForce GPUs.
  • Adds support for CUDA 2.2 for improved performance in GPU Computing applications. See www.nvidia.com/cuda for more details.
  • Accelerates performance in several 3D applications. The following are examples of improvements measured with Release 185 drivers vs. Release 182 drivers (results will vary depending on your GPU, system configuration, and game settings):
    • Up to 25% performance increase in The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena
    • Up to 22% performance increase in Crysis: Warhead with antialiasing enabled
    • Up to 11% performance increase in Fallout 3 with antialiasing enabled
    • Up to 14% performance increase in Far Cry 2
    • Up to 30% performance increase in Half-Life 2 engine games with 3-way and 4-way SLI
    • Up to 45% performance increase in Mirror’s Edge with antialiasing enabled

This is a beta driver supporting GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9, 100, and 200-series desktop GPUs.

New in Release 185.81:

Hope they fixed FPS drop. I have very bad fps drop in all games.It drops to 5 then goes back to 60.

good news!!on ut3,half life 2,and farcry i havent any bugs or fps drop! its awsome,ill test on movies with hardware accel cause the olders was makes crashes with hard acel enable~!


when i enalbe hardware accel on full srcreen my powerdvd crashes is the same issue with the older ones hehe but who cares...the games run ok...need more test to be sure

ok finall test on movies sucks i have low refresh rates that is lol than 60 how this happens?lol i have my monitor on 60hz and on movies is low..lol and with hardaccel enable crashes completely! so back to good old WHQL!all the 185series is useless for me

I agree about the Physx crap... tired of extracting the file from the installer before I start everytime. They should allow this on its own from here on out.

Still a huge drop in fps in farcry 2 for me. the only driver that seems to work is 182.08

just installed these drivers on winxp x86,not good. Control panel will not install & like every other 185 driver performance is crap (on my pc).

aquamark 3 scored 75,571 (normally 120k+ )

3dm06 scored 10199 (normally 10500+)

its still broken, nice boost nvidia (anisotropic filtering merging into trilinear and god knows what other lame trick the put in)

here are the pic so u know what im talking about, i have made a profile in nhancer and used 16af, iq high quality, no aniso sample opt, no aniso filter opt, all the highest image settings possible and it still doing that, its not there with 182.xx



and it looks like they used double cone mipmap filtering ( saw it on some floor textures) looks more annoying than with 182.xx

Crysis new map ruins STUTTERS like hell with these!!! It's unplayable even at 40 FPS.

new 275 installed today...last two beta's company of heroes and age of conan "driver has stopped working etc etc" and one bsod.

Forceware 185.81 Windows 7 64-bit Beta no problem with Grid,Dirt,Crysis runs goood.Only gta4 not working for me in windows 7,i dont now why!!!
