Default Installing new ATI driver - 12-16-2008, 16:22 | posts: 3

If I want to update the ATI driver (e.g. update from Catalyst driver 8.11 to 8.12), do I need to reinstall ATT as well? Or can I simply update the driver, but leave ATT alone as it is already installed?

If I have to reinstall ATT, is there any way to preserve the custom settings I have already set up in it (e.g. overclocking profiles, profiles for particular games, etc.)?

My first post. Thank you very much for any thoughts.

Hunter

OK. So I can just follow the regular steps from ATI to de-install the old driver and CCC, and then install the new driver and CCC, and ATT will work correctly with the new driver?

Thanks,
Hunter
