Release Highlights:
* Beta driver for GeForce 200-series, 9-series, and 8800-series desktop GPUs (refer to the products supported tab for more detail).
* Recommended for the best experience on Far Cry 2:
“Since we first began working on Far Cry 2 in early 2005, we have used GeForce GPU’s to develop the game and worked closely with NVIDIA’s excellent engineers. While Far Cry 2 represents an outstanding PC gaming experience for a wide range of systems, GeForce users can expect to enjoy the game quite literally ‘The Way It Was Meant To Be Played’.” - Louis-Pierre Pharand, Ubisoft, Far Cry 2 Producer
* Enables NVIDIA SLI technology on SLI-certified Intel X58-based motherboards with the following GPUs: GeForce GTX 280, GeForce GTX 260, GeForce 9800 GX2, GeForce 9800 GTX+, and GeForce 9800 GTX.

Interesting support list.. glad they are only focusing on the newer cards.
What still annoys me is the damn PhysX software still included in the installers.. I've emailed them many many times about this to give a option or leave it out.
The 180.42's have been pulled from the screen so it would appear to me there was something wrong with them.

Someone know what is different between these and the xxx.42´s?? If its just some minor nonimportant things(small change in version nr), maybe its not necessary to update?? If someone knows, do please tell us?

There are other ways to get the game started, if 180.43´s dont fix it for you, just search for it in google or here, takes 5seconds to fix the issue.

look for Maximized in your C:\Users\NAME\Documents\My Games\Far Cry 2\GamerProfile.xml
If you change it to Maximized "1" it should work

Vantage results:
178.24 : 2338 , 1841(gpu) , 12272(cpu)
180.20 : 2598 , 2058(gpu) , 12147(cpu)
180.42 : 2572 , 2033(gpu) , 12473(cpu)
180.43 : 2495 , 1973(gpu) , 12066(cpu)
Vantage scores dropped. But there is something with IQ. I don't know why but with this set, games and desktop seems eye candy. Maybe something with the DV (DV is not broken, can set it)

Of course not, and never will be. EVGA (and Unwinder) needs to release a new version since NVIDIA changed the way for fan controlling.

I wonder if this is the only change in this driver compared to 180.42.

A lot: ~1 FPS average, minimum FPS was little better it seems. Though, everything can be in the margin of error.
