Default CPU-Z shows incorrect speeds on AMD 5400+ BE - 10-05-2008, 20:46 | posts: 551 | Location: FL, USA

Hey guys, just a little curious why my cpu-z seems to believe that my athlon x2 5400+ Black Edition is still running at stock speeds even though I upped the multiplier from 14 to 15 which = 3.01ghz. Windows and Sandra both show the cpu running at 3.01ghz but cpu-z still shows it at 2.8ghz. Interestingly both Sandra and Cpu-z show the multiplier at 14 still and they both show different voltage levels. All I changed in my bios was the multiplier from 14 to 15. I'm confident that my cpu is running at 3.01ghz properly but it's just a little disconcerting that cpu-z is not showing those numbers.

If anyone has any insight on this, it would be greatly appreciated!
