these drivers work perfectly fine for me on Vista 64bit.
I notice zero difference between these and the previous set for Vista 64bit that was released august 2007.
I installed everything in the set, mediashield and all.
no problems. but I am not using raid either.
these drivers still don't include SMART monitoring in vista.

I'm having trouble with the teaming option on my M2N-Sli Deluxe. It disables my Internet connection every time I activate it. No change in network adapters(I still have two of them in the same configuration).
Has anyone with a similar chipset(nforce 570sli)got it working?

have been attempting to install the 15.23 package on Vista Ultimate x64 and keep getting hit with a "fatal error" pertaining to the fact that i am trying to run a "32 bit uninstaller" on a 64 bit OS.... this is news to me seeing as for the third time i have downloaded and tried out a file from nvidia.com that has the name of "15.23_nforce_winvista64_international_whql.exe".. . wtf?!?

The only way to get "SMART" data to work is to use the built in windows drivers and not install the Nvidia SW IDE driver. I am "guessing" that the Nvidia storage driver makes the drives behave like a SCSI drive thus forcing windows to treat it with NCQ and other features. But as a result, it loses the SMART reading capability.

SMART Monitoring -
09-14-2008, 11:35
Installed all except NAM and have had it running since release.
SMART Monitoring is enabled in nVidia Control Panel. But like almost everything in Geforce + nForce drivers now you have to install system tools to see it.
Also 'I believe' you may need Media Shield installed to access it, but I haven't had issues with the drives so haven't uninstalled it to confirm this.
I would however also like to know what the 'Away Mode' driver is, anyone found any info yet?

you all know about the nvidia network access manager right?
it contains the same technology as that killer n1 (or whatever its called) network card.
it reduces your ping after you set the correct option....i dont see the option to tell you what it is becuase i cant access the actual program eventhough i installed it when it said i could (you know where all the checkmarks are when you install 15.23)
any suggestions?

Goofy I hate to bother you for this but , I have looked all over for that link , could you be so kind as to post me a link to the link or a link to your post at NFHQ? I would greatly appreciate it because something is not right with my SATA performance , I have 2 10,00rpm raptors and 1 WD SATA II 3.0 and according to the Vista speed test (shown below for the SATA II and one 75 gig Raptor) does not look right to me. Right now my HDD performance is keeping me from a 5.9 score in Vista , the Disk Data Transfer Rate is 5.7.
I am not hip on these HDD speed things but I would like to gather all the info I can before I change drivers. I want to make sure I get the right drivers for my system.
using the 19.06 right now.
thanks

i had already posted this in this very thread.
search for "Asus A8N32-SLI-DELUXE (1405 bios)" in THIS thread.
http://www.nforcershq.com/forum/109-...3cfe9cf636a311
you will see around 5 or 6 links for the various drivers.
dont feel bad i get what you get with 4 drives.
normally in xp i get 180MB`s AVG read in hdtach or hdtune.
even worse i usually get 200MB`s AVG read in linux.
so im getting your (2) drive performance of around 85MB`s (which sounds good for normal 7200RPM drives) dont know about your 10,000
i have 4 drives in raid0 and should be getting dbl your speed at least.
these raid drivers suck!

Thanks for the linkage man I am on a quest for the perfect SATA driver now!! as a side note I also extracted the 15.23 driver package and updated the SATA drivers through device mgr instead of going through the whole package un-install and re-install thing as the rest of my system is running fine , seemed to update ok but my speed test went down..lol
oh well..
Thanks again man and sorry to bother!!

Anything I tried to do to recover the system failed, I had to re-install XP from scratch (and lost a lot of system settings, program installations, etc.).
This time everything seemed fine after running the setup, altough it didn't ask me to reboot. I did it anyway and after that I could not access Windows anymore. Lucky me I did a manual system restore before.
My advice? Never touch nForce drivers ever again, had too many bad experiences with them.

Everyone else here hasn't had a problem with these drivers, so don't blame the drivers; There's nothing wrong with these drivers. The problem is likely on your end.

oh you are so wrong my friend.
these drivers are borked from the beginning.
i have proof to compare it also.
what do you get for performance in a single drive? (aprox 40-60MB`s AVG read) for most users.
when you add a 2nd drive and put that in a raid0 it will ALMOST double in speed
if you add 2more drives to that 2 drive system it SHOULD also again ALMOST doulbe in speed.
ex: my 4 drive raid0 setup in winxp i would get 180MBs avg the whoile time all day long and cpu usage about 15%
same exact drives in vista and i get BARELY 100MBs (one of my drives in single non-raid = 50MBs avg read) so that makes since but 4 drives in raid0 it IS JUST WAY OFF.
also for long time with nvidia nvraid drivers when you "RESTART" the drives were powering OFF and it would make a very slow reboot.
nvidia has had tons of problems with these nvraid drivers for 2 years now (for vista)

just ran these 2 tests with hdtune
single 80gig sata wd hard drive

4 wd sata 80gigers in a raid0
http://img216.imageshack.us/my.php?i...80raid0iz3.jpg
got to love those numbers!
COMPARE the CPU usage.
one drive = 1.6percent
four drive = 41percent!!!!
look at the perf
49MBs vs 73MBs
um yea its not nvidia fault is it<<<<

Forceware 9.64

Forceware 15.23

According to Everest, it does appear that HDD performance is less with the new driver.
However, HD Tach results are quite similar.

Hello !
My PC:
Asus Crosshair Mobo
AMD FX62
SLI 2x Asus 8800 GTX
Barracuda Seagate 360 GB
I had lots of BSODs just after intall this Nforce driver on windows xp 32.
I got dual system on computer and even when selecting Vista 32.
I had BSODs even before windows starts.
I had to unistall all nvidias drivers and put the 9.35 back.
Everything ok now.
Dont install them . My opinion.

You are correct goofy , I read through all the posts at NFHQ and then decided to test some drivers myself , the conclusion was to roll back ONLY my SATA drivers , I went back to the 830 which was on my list of available drivers in Device manager and my CPU usage went down to almost 0 and the drives run at nearly the same speed.
Thanks for the work on the comparisons and I am sticking with these till something better comes along.
its crazy though how all the drives start losing MB/sec as the test goes along , I guess this is normal though.
NOTE: had to download HD Tune because the old drivers do not include the Vista Speedtest.
NOTE2: milage may very , no 2 systems are the same.

I updated to these new drivers on Windows XP x64 and it's great: No BOSD, no error messages, no problems.
Ran an HD tune test on my pair of 300 GB Seagate 7200 RPM drives in RAID 0:
HD Tune: NVIDIA STRIPE 558.92G Benchmark
Transfer Rate Minimum : 50.8 MB/sec
Transfer Rate Maximum : 115.6 MB/sec
Transfer Rate Average : 92.8 MB/sec
Access Time : 12.5 ms
Burst Rate : 164.5 MB/sec
CPU Usage : 3.2%
Ran the same test on my single 1TB Seagate drive:
HD Tune: ST31000340AS Benchmark
Transfer Rate Minimum : 47.1 MB/sec
Transfer Rate Maximum : 109.8 MB/sec
Transfer Rate Average : 85.2 MB/sec
Access Time : 12.6 ms
Burst Rate : 61.8 MB/sec
CPU Usage : 2.0%
And again on my 160 GB Seagate drive:
HD Tune: ST3160812AS Benchmark
Transfer Rate Minimum : 34.3 MB/sec
Transfer Rate Maximum : 63.9 MB/sec
Transfer Rate Average : 56.7 MB/sec
Access Time : 13.0 ms
Burst Rate : 92.2 MB/sec
CPU Usage : 1.9%
All of those drives are SATA 2, on the on-board SATA controller on my ASUS P532-E SLI.

650 SLI here.
Locks up my hdds, cant copy large files across disks, slow overall performance and even system lockups.
NOT recommended.
edit: Unistalled but still absolutely destroyed my disks. Will probably have to reformat
