Hi guys.....

Ran 3 times through the standard Crysis GPU Benchmark using the 177.39 drivers. Crysis version 1.2.1, custom config 1440x900 resolution.

Averaged 37.49 FPS

Uninstalled drivers - Driver sweeper - Reboot - Driver Sweeper - Intsalled 175.19's - Reboot.......

Same config but averaged 37.15 FPS after 3 runs... marginal difference I know, but I will stick with the 177.39's.....

haha ..... I bought the computer without gaming in mind, just producing music. But I missed the gaming and bought a 9800 thinking I would have to buy a new PSU as well, turns out I got lucky. I also run the 9800 at 790 core/linked shaders and 1150 memory.... (with 7 fans and a fan controller).

Turns out you don't need 1000W to run a nice rig as I found out.... watch out for the PSU companies trying to suck your dollars

You won't be laughing when with out warning it goes BANG... And takes the whole motherboard and cpu down with it. Really mate just because it switches on dosen't mean it's perfect, just a word of warning be careful.

As much as I would love to slate nVidia here this situation is not a bad thing, it means that nVidia have 2 teams working on different strands of driver development, 1 team for the 8/9 series, and one for the GTX260/280, which is good.

Also, the dating issue is a red herring, the testing period could have taken longer, as could the WHQL testing (more cards to test), rather than encouraging us to move up, it is a sign that nVida are supporting us, rather than dumping us for support of their new gfx card series.

Going to try these with the physX stuff, report back later

Same here dude, even when I untick "show progs on this computer" the list is still blank.
So 175.19 is a lemon.

I ran drivercleaner.net & driver sweeper. Both in safe mode.
Then ran regcleaner.
Then installed new driver.

Still no programs in the list.

update

Just noticed that my nvapps.xml is blank, so thats why then !!!!

What a fubar'd driver

Can someone who has this driver working (ie programs in the list) upload a default/unchanged NVAPPS.XML so I can have some profiles.
I only want one from 175.19 as don't know if it will work taken from another driver !!

I can confirm that NVIDIA physX 8.06.12 don't work on these drivers so going back to 177.39 instead ..

Strange, on this driver my system found more installed games than the 177.39, so I haven't a clue why your CP shouldn't find your games

The only difference is SLI, but still your system should find the game profile anyway, weird.

Just checked my nvapps.xml, seems ok.

Well, it's not an SLI equipped version, but here's mine, HTH

Edit: No, these do not work with phsyX, but the driver appears to be a bit quicker in games that do not use hardware physX (I.E: Most games, 3dMark Vantage does not count as a game).
