yes 3d06 takes its toll generally its 50-100 mhz less benchable on the cpu than 3d01,and 05 but on a quad on p5b thats a great overclock you got what vcore does it need above 4ghz 1.65?

I usually run 1.625v @ 4Ghz but every small step after that takes another .025v and the max on this board is 1.7v. I would like to v-mod both my mobo and 8800 but its a tough choice with so much new technology so close .....
The way my luck works I would v-mod my 8800 and next week they would release the next gen cards and I would be stuck with a card I could not sell.

yes thats what happens , the technology moves so fast i have a p5w-dh which is a bit out of date but still pulls in the numbers till the next upgrade, i had a quad on my p5w and it did not like it so might get a quad with next motherboard upgrade

Yeah it was the only test I saw massive gains from, Other tests were sometimes slower than with a single card.
Crysis now runs at 50fps instead of 27fps now @ 1920x1200, Although it doesn't feel as smooth for some reason??

i think its just the nature test the ultras handle it a lot better than the 2900s hence the overall score is higher

Grrrr, As soon as a saw your post I tried my hardest to get 3.9Ghz stable, I got as far as the 4th test (Dragothic high) and the system froze.
Can I have a loan of your chip please
Are you thinking of getting a pair of 3870's now?

no the only ones i might consider is 3870x2 dual chip ones if they come out, the next toy is the asus maximus extreme i have just ordered ,looking forward to that, i have no ddr3 memory yet though , Its a fortune atm, its really infuriating benching the system on the edge , on mine i can bench at 4.035 with everything and sometimes 4.063 but only sometimes, i hate it when its near the end of a 3dmark and you think its gonna do it then it freezes or reboots
