then it is probably not for you. It is for people trying to gain performance in professional 3d apps. It is nothing related to games. Besides, mostly the gaming performance will decrease after modding.

yes if you work hard you can even turn it into a ferrari.

it is an ati card and can be only modded to firegl wich is also a ati card. But quadro is an nvidia card so you can not mod an ati card into a nvidia card. also don't try modding it to a ferrari it was a joke.

And honestly why are you trying to turn it into something. I mean if you have no idea what a firegl or quadro is why are you trying to turn your card to that.

of course i know what are the quadro and firegl i was used to work with quadro fx 1400 in 3ds max..

the one thing i don't know is this mod thing.. i am not an electrical engineer so i don't know what can turn into anything?

if you know how can i turn my card into a fireGL please help.. so i can work in 3ds max more accurately ..

Hi there

I have an ATI RADEON X1600 AGP and i was modded my card to FIREGL 5200, but certain games doesn't start (little games.. only for pass time) and i revert process

But u can... with x1600 of course...

Maybe with x1650 u can't because is not R530 core

Hi all!
according to http://ati.amd.com/developer/vendorid.html there`s one FireGL equvalent to R480 chip (radeon x850xt) and it is FireGL7200 (R480GL chip) - (theres also FireGL7200 based on R520GL chip)
Is there any possible way to mod my X850xt to FireGL 7200 (R480GL) ?

I managed to mod it to FireGL 7100, based on R423GL chip, but sure it should be better if it could be moded to 7200 (R480GL)
I found huangyanhaos scripts for R520 based 7200, but I need R480 based 7200
can it be done?
can anybody help me with a script,...?
maybe to include FireGL 7200 (R480GL device ID 7104 / 7124 secundary) to huangyanhaos x4xx script?

My MSI RX1600PRO-TD256E is giving me a headache ! I read all the posts from here and from few more forums and decided to make some softmodeing... Everithing works just fine (no error messages in RivaTuner) with it until I installed FireGl 5200 secondary driver and reboot machine (on DVI output I have my ViewSonic VP730 display). After restart I get a constant rebooting on windows loading...

I'm using RivaTuner20RC162 and gfx driver is fireglxp-8.263-dd-cp-34003.exe

Can someone help me in any way...

I used the script from two messages above (x1300PCIE -> V3300), and all seemed to be fine, but trying RealView in SolidWorks 2007 SP1 seems to not work. The option to turn on RealView is not grayed any more and I can click to enable it, but it does not seem to do anything.
Can someone tell me how I can tell where the problem lies? What other test can I do to see whether the patch worked at all?

Actually, it works. I had to actually assign a material to my parts, then the neat shading started happening...

Great success! X1600pro = V5200 now. But Maya 7 & 8 sometimes freezes now when you try to open different pannels. Why would it do that? Will this mod work with newer FireGL drivers?

faster opengl performance, wireframe acceleration... some other stuff... but mainly this.

it results in improved performance in CAD/CAM software...

Hi all,

I wonder if there is possibility to modify radeon x1400 (I think it's a mobile card)
The chip is RV515. The only firegl card with this chip is V3300 and it can be softmodded from x1300, but what do you think - is it possible to make fire gl card from x1400?

Just wondering what card is able to be modified (if any) to FireGL out if 1650 & 1950 AGP cards.
Or do I have to go back to X800 / FireGL X3 mod as neither X1650 or X1950 AGP cards have FireGL AGP equivalents.
I think the question has been asked, but I don't recall there being a reply.
Any one got any ideas?

x64 compiled drivers are different from x32 thus the patches are no go.

OK,that's pity. So is there anybody working on that solution? W64 are better for 3DSMAX, because they can allocate more than 2GB of RAM.
