Default Barook DELL! Holy Nike... - 11-29-2006, 04:29 | posts: 714 | Location: Austin, TX

Well.. For christmas I bought myself and my fiance each a Dell Inspiron E1705.. Dell really packs the CRAP in this damn thing.. There was so much bullcrap software that I was forced to reinstall the OS just to rid it.. I started removing like normal and all of sudden I lost all internet abilities..

I could connect to my wireless network, ping any website in the world, but the second IE would try to load, nothing.. Page can't be found.. I swear! Dell use to be real good about bogus software but now they pack this thing with 18 different internet providers and some of the crappiest support..

Dell use to be the ones to go to when you wanted decent systems that weren't crowded like Compaq, HP, Packard Hell and Gateway.. I'm starting to see its not so true anymore!

None the less tho its a nice laptop! 17" XGA TrueLife Widescreen.. Got a gay white panel around it which annoys me.. Might have to paint it! Other than that it took a day to deliver lol.. I live 10 miles from Austin and they are manufactured here. LOL

Paid $48.00 for shipping for no reason ROFL

lol love the shipping part..

Yeah Dell has become more like HP,Compaq,etc..

Though i can comment that my ACER came with a lot of stuff also but most of them i found out that they were very uselfull. Including the backup software to burn onto DVD (used it a few times)

BTW i know ASUS does not contain such things within their laptops
