I have a question regarding amd proccesor temperature.

Whats the highest temp and the safe zone temps lets say a dual core like the x2 3800+ or above can handle.

max safe day to day is usually 50*c.
max bench is 55*c.

It's actually a bit more than that^^^

Max safe is around 60C anymore and you're asking for trouble.

Safe temps are really quite high .. i think the X2 3800+ can easily handle 65c and infact even higher ... but those temps are not recommend ... ur processor should do a max of around 50-55c under load for long runs ....

ive run my cpu at 89*c before now (forgot to turn my pump on when i turned my pc on) and it was fine, helped settle the AS5. lol.
but max everyday temps are as i said, about 50/55*c.
anymore than this over a year, and the cpu might just weild its self to the HS(ive seen it happen)

According to the AMD spec sheet on their website, the Athlon64 X2 processors can operate upto 70 C.

^^^ thats bad. i got 2.9ghz with stock cooler max temp of 58*c.

actually, max temps is 65-70c... safe working temps is 55-60...
