Default GPU temps increase w/ different drivers?? - 06-16-2006, 14:13 | posts: 676 | Location: WI

Ok, quick question. I never really paid attention when I tested different drivers, but, will different drivers cause your GPU temps to run hotter or cooler?? I am curious, 'cuz I just dumped the pain in the azz XG 91.31 select drivers and installed the 91.29 drivers from XFX's site, and my card temps went up. Before, I was usually idle at about 41-42C, now, with the 91.29's I am at about 46C. This is also with the stock cooler as I have not put my new water block on the card. So will different drivers affect the cards operating temps?? Thanks in advance.
