50 fps, vsync on, 100 hz

I got this problem after installing the latest driver from nvidia.
I have a CRT screen @ 100 hz. When i boot up Counter-Strike i get the fps capped at 50. But this just occurs when i have Vertical sync enabled, I have a 6800 GT 256 mb AGP.
I have followed the instructions to deinstall the drivers proplerly (as described in the sticky) twice, first time i installed the new driver again. And the second time i installed the old one again, still the same. I have been able to run counter-strike at 100 fps with Vertical sync on in the past. I hate the taring that occurs with Vsync off :I

Edit: Solved the problem!
The new drivers detected my TV thats connected and set clone as default, therefore reducing my fps cause of too high load.
