Mainboard: EVGA X-58 classified
Memory: 6 Gig G-Skill 2050 mhz.
Soundcard:
PSU: thermaltake 1200

I was just wondering why if I check direct x 8+ in my textures tab, it always reverts to 7+? Am I missing something? Thanks.

It is NOT an option, and it is NOT supposed to stay. Read the context help for it, it just allows you to select desired texture formats set you're editing.
