Wow this is great!
I've got an inspiron 8600 and patched up the unified drivers to a T2. Almost everything works, except for the fact that the latpop has a native 1900x1200 and the drivers seem to think its 1600x1200 since that's all that shows on the screen and the rest just scrolls! I know that the ATI drivers aren't meant to install on a laptop, so I tried to use the HP drivers and those will install and run fine but just as a Radeon 9600 since the patch doesn't work. A clue might be that the ATI panel doesn't seem to recognize any laptop panel, usually I have 4 choices, monitor, laptop, TV, FDI. But with the patch there is no laptop (maybe that is a function of the ATI drivers?) |
