Default network/domain/print - 05-18-2004, 20:28 | posts: n/a

We have a small office running a server (windows 2000 server) with a local domain.
We are connected with USB wireless router.

Everything appears to be configured okay.

One particular workstation, however, experiences problems with the shared printers. Sometimes when she logs in her computer wont re-find the shared printers (ie it says unable to connect, or cannot find printer). Presses f5 to refresh sometimes reconnects, but sometimes not.

Where can I start troubleshooting this annoyance?

Remove your Windows server out of the equation

Stupid things, Windows should only be a desktop, not a server.......

If you haven't guessed by now, I like Linux as servers.

Do you have many other problems with your server? Like you have to restart it every now and then?
I know of a good distro if you are wanting to replcae it with.

Its a brand new machine tho, and they paid the grand for win2000server or whatever. It was working ok, but now its not.
Maybe one thing I might try is just creating a new profile on the client machine or something. triple check my settings. Linux rocks. whats a distro?

A different Distrobution. Such as Redhat, Gentoo, Slackware etc...........

If you've already got it, suppose you'll have to stick with it......
