hey!
3dmark '01 se : 8276 marks
3dmark '03 : 1456 marks
athlon 2400+/512 MB Hynix DDR (133/266)
xfx geforce fx 5600 xt 256 megs (306/400), Det 56.64
asus a7v8 MoBo
just thought i'd check it out with you guys, I noticed my 3dmark '03 scores are almost as high as some of you guys who have Std or sometimes even ultra versions of the 5600/5700!!??, esp on 3dmark '03!.....Isn't the XT supposed to be plain vanilla???.....
And another thing, I noticed my 3dmark'01 scores are off whack compared to most i've read (10,000 +).....Any thoughts?
I'm pretty satisfied with the card for what it does, and am planning to upgrade to NV40/45 when it does release.....Any thoughts on that???

Your 3DMark03 score is too low, FX5200's score the same.

IMO not worth the change. 5600xt <--slow, 5600 <-- plain, 5600U flipchip <-- great but price sucks. you can get a 9600xt at that price.
stay with ur fx5200, then if you got nuff cash buy a better card higher than anyfx5600 line.

hmmm ok ...
i though the 5600u was pretty good for the price, but i know its a better idea to wait like 2 month so the new cards will be avalaible and older ones will be cheaper ..i paid my fx 5200 135$ ( canadian dollars ) its like...75$ US
for like +50-100$ illl be able to buy a 9800 or a 5950 in 2 month ( not sure, but probably)
or maybe ill get my cash back and reinstall my old card ( voodoo 5 5500 ) for 2 months
sorry for my bad english its not my first language
