Videocards - 3dfx How the mighty have fallen. Unfortunately the company is gone, but of course we still support the products. Use this forum to discuss anything concerning products using 3dfx chips from the Voodoo series.
I booted up my Voodoo 5500 AGP and everything went well, except I can't get games to work in Glide mode. They work in Direct Draw, but since the game I play works best in glide, I really need that. I have the latest drivers and more than enough power to handle the card.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Before that, uninstall any previous version of voodoo drivers and/or registry.
Yes, remove all the old Voodoo/3dfx drivers and registry keys 1st before installing the new drivers. Follow this link, it explains how to do it thoroughly. It's meant for Voodoo to Geforce upgrade but the steps are the same.
Thanks. I'll try this when I get my replacement card. I really think the card went dead on me, because it was working fine and thene Glide just quit on me. I thought that maybe the DX 8.1 drivers had something to do with it, but I'll have to wait and see. If I plug it in and it works, then I know the card was bad. If not, I'll follow these instructions. Thanks again
