How do i Go about disabling it? they only thing I see it good for atm is making the 670 gtx ftw Coils whine likes stuck pig. when Boost goes off and its draws more voltage then what it takes at 1005 mhz they coils/cap just sound like they about to vibrate right out of my case....
If i play any game it does this, and worse in SWTOR , If I Stand on fleet with bunch people and boost starts and it draws more then 60% power it sound like it rattling my case Not even Evga OC stress test make that much of noise I hear clear as day over my headphones too.
As of now I waiting on RMA of my PSU to rule out my psu causing this. that dont work I am RMA the card as EVGA says that not normal. I love the card but that coil noise is unacceptable, my 6800 ultra, 9800gt, 450gts

That should do it. Be warned though, according to the thread, you may lose some performance.

This is gona be last resort, As I have Avance RMA of my psu coming to see if that fix the problem with the card whining like stuck pig trying to rattle its way out my case.
That dont work I'm gona rma the card. if that dont work i gona see if that shut the card the **** up. for 400$ i expect the cap and choke to not have these problems. If a psu can push 450w+ every day and not have single whine cause by caps and chokes. then there is no reason gou should have them...
All I have to do is fire up Swtor walk on to repbulic fleet, and the card will boost it self to 1153core nad 1.180 vcore, and use about 70% power draw and the card whines so loud it draws out ever fan in my case and sound like trying to rattle it way out of my case. AVP/Crysis same deal. unless it some game that only use like 45% power draw or less.
Not even OC scanner stress test makes the card sound like this. I rather hear the gtx 670 ftw fan at full tilt then this whining

have you tried to edit fan profile (nice free solution)?
maybe it will help if your fan start earlier but with less RPM (and so lot less noise)...
other idea: get an aftermarket cooling solution

Coil whine is like a high pitched noise... kind of faint (usually)... if you have rattling it's not coil whine I would look at the fan because the reference 670 has that plastic fan shroud extending past the PCB.. it has been known to make vibrations.

Evga 670 gtx ftw
Its not the fan I tried fixed fan speed i even i stooped the fan on the gpu when it was doing this and the noise was still there. Besides there is no way a fan is gona be changing is noise level as fast this noise does. let alone would be able to manipulate the noise from the fan by changing my camera angle in games. now caps and chokes its possible to be able to do that.
noise and it intensity is directly related to how much power the card is drawing, if Boost is on and how much extra volt the boost is using. those 3 things are the 3 constants variable when the noise starts. The noise is also coming from the card it self its not my psu cause that is silent, rma the psu none the less. I can throw my 450gts back it and i dont hear single thing coming from the card other then the fans. I convinced it a defective card and it getting rma soon as I rule out the psu.
