"the Tiamat's sound was clear but not big, at least not in the way that you would hope for from a headset that sits an inch away from $200. The highs were slightly tinny, and overall, sound could have benefited from a bit more warmth."
"The Tiamat 7.1 is a well constructed piece of machinery, and is worthy of its title as the first of its kind, but packing so many drivers into a small space can hurt a headset as much as help it. Sound movement is accurate but quality can be below some cheaper alternatives, and if you don't have a proper 7.1 card you'll definitely want to look elsewhere. This isn't to say that the team at Razer shouldn't be proud of themselves, the creation of the Tiamat is an achievement in and of itself, but the overall effectiveness of true 7.1 surround sound is lost when tightly placed inside the small confines of a headset."
