Default Crysis With EQM (other mods) - 04-29-2012, 05:00 | posts: 860

Since everyone though the other vids were crud, which they were because of the TOD, i have updated the TOD, color saturation, lowered brightness, Sun intensity and a few others to boot.

http://www.youtube.com/my_videos_edi...id=TcryK-31ATA

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ib5tYeNblJw&feature=plcp

Second vid was getting it but i thought it needed a bit more color saturation. If you have a monitor with selectable modes, Theater, gaming, standard. Make sure to at least set it with standard. If you are getting colors way out of range, its ur monitor.

First vid have Color saturation added

Watch in 1080 for full scale of picture.

Ps dont mind the music....just geeked up.

Like every Crysis mod other than the texture ones, it only looks good in screenshots, but looks truly awful in motion.

Every? The right ToD will make the game look several times better

But yeah, most of them look pretty awful with way too much bloom or blur

I just started with this new TOD, not even near done, just a quick snip..

Crysis looks great in motion. looks better than it ever did. TOD is lacking and needs to be cleaned up. Speed is around 15-25-30 FPS.

The pictures represent what it looks like when it plays. Recording sucks.

Ill work on lowering the brightness. I have already proceeded in doing this and this was the update. So, ill have to do more tweaking.

The last TOD was so bad it made some people blind on the forums lol.

Sorry, every one i've saw, pretty sure i haven't saw them all, but so far everything has been based on the modder's personal preference which doesn't match mine, as while i like realism in game visuals, some take it a little too far.

Having lots of bloom and blur will make it feel more like an tropical island, as in reality that is how things look when your at the beach on a very sunny day if you don't have shades, but it's not easy to look at all the time, and quite fatiguing.

Yeah, sorry, but this looks horrible.
From the glaring bloom to the weapon/player movement... nothing about the video looks like a fun or enjoyable experience.

I am getting it figured out, turns out the brightness wasnt setting in-game..."go figure" so i went into the Config and set it properly. i missed this everytime, this was the reason for the bloom, HDR, color brightness, eveything, now i need to go back and fix it all.... The TOD needs to be fixed. i was trying to figure out wtf was going on. ill be back later with some other results.

Good grief man, it felt like I was having a 60's flashback and I was born in the 80's .

As for the listed mod itself, it looks great. Just remember to not over-do anything (too much camera sway, HDR, BLOOM, etc).

The idea is to bring it more to life but that's it. Good job.

Anyone know of any good realistic light mods out there? I want HDR that works the way it does in photography, not the current "I want to make your eyes bleed" with all that extreme overexposure sm3.0 type games.

The animation in the game determins how the graphic quality and output is going to be displayed. The tod wasnt correct. The graphic engine and everything else i am using is maxing out 3x 5870. I am still not using HD objects or HD rocks. What everyone here doesnt understand, is this is like an Arcade game. Making it work like it truley was designed take more than a home computer can deal with. The files are there and i have most of them. It is an intense game, and 95% of eveyone out there is not maximizing the graphic engine in full HD with Crysis.

That being said, the CG Group files for Crysis are low quality. The system file is not the max system graphic file for professional rendering. Then there are all the HD files.

Not to mention that. there are Render, post, shader, physics, etc that are not setup even to max on the professional real-time rendering HD version. that have nothing in relation to the CG-group/Game options in Crysis.

The reality is. This game is now running with Full HD @ 1920x1080, And is now working @ 4x-8xaa 1080 with newer cards in SLI/crossfireX

@ 2560X1600 Res. You are doomed. With 8x-16AA Quad GTX690 can crap it self. and Quad 680GTX 4gb might even run into issues.

Then there is system memory and Cpu speed. Things get critical were i come from quickly.

I still need to wait till next year or longer to upgrade. Not enough video ram and not enough speed.

If you dont run the setup that i am currently running with Crysis you are not in the know. Correct TOD will make or break the graphics in Crysis. Dont be so quick to judge. i know for a fact that my version of Crysis will break everyones PC and mine.

Still not maxed with no HD rocks No HD objects...The rendering is still not maxed along with other parts of the HD render system. CG-Group files are maxed. 4xaa first vid. 2x aa second vid following the first.

Run in 1080 then if you complain about it.

And mike dogg thanks, you can see the idea, the camera shaky touch was for fun, and was done without the Cybers EQM, i like to see it that way looks cool not far off from the original also.

The colors in Crysis are the major pain...If they are out of touch with the graphic mods and gameplay mods it will make it look like ****. Not to mention i dont think the colors are "pure" enough to make this game look like everyone really wants it to look. Thats the limitation of the engine itself and the tech behind it.

Yes, the game has crazy bug where in that video many times you look at the weapon and it is just pure black.(watching at 1080p)
there is no way it looks like that in daylight..
and its not that the sun is blinding you that much..

I think it is Sun intensity multi that needs to be adjusted. i might give it a little tweak in a little bit. I am on a different pc, my gaming rig requires about 1500 watts to run between water chiller system and PC. gotta take it easy on the energy. 1/2 hp chiller.

Quick update: Added a bit more Color saturation to the scene. Even better now. ill take some screens or a newer later. gotta get some sleep, good night Guru3d.

Not to mention on top of that this version is like going to the arcade, not only are the graphics immersive, more shader, physics, post, EQM, agility. The difficulty to has been alterted as DELTA is now the new easy. The only thing is the cloaking, speed, shield, strength have been disabled. Just having them enabled would of been fun graphicaly. CyberAlien worked on the EQM. i am not sure how to enable the suite ablilites. If anyone is in the know that would be great.

Second vid has fixed color saturation.

I used the no shakey camera so that V-sync would stand out. It is the same on my computer without seeing the screen bob a little...but very close. without it its the same just the V-sync doesnt look like it would on my PC with it enabled.

Dont mind the music. geeked up.

Sorry, I know you're putting some time into it.
But, it looks bad. It's not a matter of the recording... it's the amount of blur, the lighting... and the horrible unnatural player movements.

It seriously looks as if Nomad is coming down off a bad trip.
It's like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas... only in Crysis.
