Just watched it, probably the best action film i've ever seen.

Michael Bay should be taking notes on how action films are supposed to be made.

Wow, based off the commercials for the movie I figured it was going to suck. I hope you're right.

Wow....some really satisfied viewers there. Well, waiting for it to show in local theatres. Will be watching Battleship on the weekend though.

Went to the 1st showing in manchester, loved it.

Now it's not perfect as it really did need to be longer (at least a good 30mins IMO) as some things are very rushed.
 Click to show spoiler

And 1 or 2 of the trailers commited one of my biggest trailer annoyances (putting in some/most of the best scenes), but some parts were just fantastic
 Click to show spoiler

All in all, a solid 8.5/10, i actully rate TDK higher which i wasn't expecting to (i was expecting this to be my new no1 comic movie), with TDK i was totaly blown away so much so i went back the next day with friends, with this while more than happy i just think the trailers ruined it (i wish i hadn't watched them) and i'm happy to wait for the blu-ray now.

The build up is well done, the humor is absolutely great!!!!! And the action was godlike. I loved the fact that everybody got equal screentime, and everybody got their share of the action. Although I gotta say....

All in all it's a MUST see film and you won't be disappointed. I would recommend that you see the build up films leading up to this film. Iron man 1 & 2, Thor and Captain America in that exact order. Make sure you watch what happens after the ending credits as well!

I saw it at a midnight (well 12:01AM) screening on Wednesday morning, in VMAX (just a marketing term, its a cinema with bigger than normal screen, leather seats, more legroom etc). I thought it was great too, however I felt around 2/3rds in? it was a little slow at one point...

Michael Bay doesn't need to take notes from anyone. He needs to retire and stop making movies all together.

What was right about it?

The only two Michael Bay movies that I enjoy are Bad Boys 1 and The Rock.

Over my expectatives at all, it is funny as hell, characters more or less nivelated, action is great. My second favorite superhero movie (First is Batman The Dark Knight os course). 9/10 score for my taste.

Yes, you'll miss some information. Like how captain America came to be and how he becomes part of the avengers. Names of people and objects that appeared in Capt. America will also be talked about in the avengers film. Doesn't mean you'll enjoy it any less, you just wouldn't know what they meant.

I would recommend seeing captain american before you watch this if you don't wanna scratch your head when you mention some stuff regarding capt. america's past.

Actually want to see this, mostly due to the fact its Joss Whedon, so glad it's getting good reviews.
Not really been much of a fan of the characters this is based on though, the Iron Man films were pretty meh, Thor was dull and Captain American was awful, but Whedon in general knows how to keep things interesting without just relying on over the top action and special effects.

Will try and watch the last Hulk movie in the next few days, so i can go and see this some time in the next week.

I thought it was merely OK, though it is heads above trash such as Thor and Captain America.

I guess I find invincible heroes fighting monsters that died when sneezed at kind of boring. Not to mention that the main villain (Loki) was horribly miscast and Scarlett Johansson was a completely useless figure in this movie who was only cast (in my opinion) to add some sex appeal; the arrow dude was also kind of stupid ("My superpower is that I shoot arrows very well"...yay?).

But on the whole it was entertaining enough for one watch. And the Hulk had some very humorous scenes.

Loki horribly miscast? Are you serious? Tom Hiddleston is getting universal praise for his portrayal! He's managed to stay pretty true to the comic character imo

If true, then the comic character is pretty pathetic for a villain. I though Samuel Jackson was a better villain and he was even an ally!

Did we watch the same movie?, Tom Hiddleston was as perfect a cast as Robert Downey Jr was for Tony Stark/Iron Man, in other words he was made for the part.

His performance in this was fantastic and as sdamaged99 has said in most reviews they are saying the same thing.
