You're most scary game! -

Greetings,
I want you all to tell me about the game which scared you the most and perhaps anything you can recommend to me. So far the only nightmarish related game I've played is Alan Wake. I loved it, but I want something whether FPS or 3rd person which will really keep me on edge
Thanks in advance

The first time I played Doom3 and F.E.A.R. they scared the crap out of me. Not because the game itself was scary though....all the damn enemies jump out at you.
Once you play through it once or twice you know when to expect it though.
I'd have to say that the new Aliens VS. Predator game was quite creepy when you play as the marines. Wondering where the Aliens were going to pop out always kept me on edge.

IŽll quote the Doom 3 and Fear. Once i get my graphic cards, and got this small gaming room completed sound wise, 5.1, iŽll mod the hell out of Doom, and **** into my pants.
Cant tell about the AvP tho.

Doom 1 & 2 are the only ones which genuinely made me scared with the lights out, Doom3 not so much.. those cheap closets and spawning **** behind you just annoying.
Also Resident Evil 1.
Modern games just suck

I would say FEAR, but there was just something about running around the outskirts of Vizima in the Witcher that gave me a very uneasy feeling.

Damn, I thought it was just me. I would love to get that Vizima atmosphere back in the next Witcher(Witcher 2 is too colorful imo).

Buy Dead Space 1 and Dead Space 2 now! Story is amazing and horror of the Hellraiser, Re-Animator and The Thing variety...it will scare the ****e out of you even on the 2nd play through.

F.E.A.R. turned a bit of my hair to grey. It was the game which made me realize i've got mental issues with dead children attacking me for some reason, dunno why. Seems like the scariest monsters are those you don't recognize as being a monster.
