Only if you put a cable between them routers.
You might need to get it as a switch too.

Depending on the router and if it can flashed with TomatoUSB or DD-WRT yes it can be done.

its a DLink DI-524 and no its not compatible.

Ok how do i get internet to that pc then without dragging a mile of wires upstairs ?

i was thinking of a pci wifi card but wifi in the room the pc is in is weak and sometimes drops connection on my phone.

am i missing something here ?

what do i do ?

an access point ?
a repeater ?
a Bridge something....lol

Can you get a repeater with Ethernet ports on so basically i could connect the pc to to the router AND boost the wifi signal upstairs ?

That would be great if i can do that.

Will this do that ?

Powerline ethernet adapters.

Something like those, they are made by a variety of companies.

I use them to stream to a media player, handles HD fine, the ones I have are 200mpbs rated and average 100-120mpbs.

You could create a wireless bridge too

Yes the wireless bridge would work also but require a new router and most likely one that can be flashed with DD-WRT as most main stream routers (all most all) do not do it on stock firmware. Even with this setup the wireless signal could be weak and barely usable, it could however be alright, would be a trial and error thing.

With the powerline ethernet adapters he could actually plug his spare router into into the output of the powerline adapter and use it like a wired bridge setup.
