internal erase?


When i tried to use the internal erase function of my ssd it mentioned that the mobo has prevented it from working.

So how in the hell do i turn it off?

yeah secure erase it's not allowed by my mobo. How do u enable it?

Its protected by bios usually after you format it. Shut your pc off boot into pmagic linux make sure you have the x86 64 iso and not the one that says "most people will need this"
Try again. If it says bios still protecting it, shut off and yank the sata cable from the drive. Reconnect it after you booted into the pmagic os

I'm using the parted magic thing from gskill and it doesn't have the x86 or 64 iso thing.
