Stability testing question... Kombustor and 3dMark vs. Kombustor Burn-In -

I was able to achieve a stable overclock of 1250/1760 at 1.299V on my watercooled HD7970s using 30 minutes of Kombustor and 3dMark (which was my "looks like it passed" torture test on my old HD5970s, and led to a couple of years of stabilty on those cards). However, I'm having trouble even running 1200/1600 on Kombustor Burn-In, which I didn't even know about until a couple of days ago. Is the Burn-In so ridiculously stressful that I'm splitting hairs worrying about that, or would I be better off assuming that any instability is a bad thing, even if it's something that isn't likely to occur in general usage?
