Question Nvidia WHQL v301.10 driver for 460M GTX 1.5GB..? - 03-23-2012, 23:30 | posts: 2

Hi, I'm having a little trouble with trying to install the newly released Nvidia GeForce WHQL v301.10 driver for my GeForce 460M GTX 1.5GB in my Alienware M15x. I've tried installing the driver with it's stock INF as well as with a few custom INFs on the official v301.10 driver thread on this forum.. & it kept telling me "missing files" & "couldn't find compatible hardware" ... pretty much won't install.

How would I go about getting this driver to install on this video card of mine? I'm currently got v296.10 driver installed.. which I believe is the latest one so far.

Download the international installer from nvidia site here:
http://es.download.nvidia.com/Window...ional-whql.exe

Then download this inf:
http://www.mediafire.com/?z3f59d8fddfhbhf

Worked like charm on my GTX 560M and should work for 460M too.

You are doing something wrong with the file inf ... where did you put it?
However, I not recommend to install a driver still immature and has been designed and tested only for the new hardware architecture (Kepler) ...

Did you double check to make sure it was the correct inf. I noticed this issue with my last cards, and a few custom inf's.

Here's a link for a modded inf for Windows Vista/7 64-bit

Download that and once you have extracted the driver, place it in the Display.Driver folder overwriting the previous inf.
