When it comes to DRM, this is from Ubisoft's Twitter:
Quote:
We're announcing Rayman Origins for PC right the hell now! Also, retail versions will have NO DRM. None, zero, zip. Ohemgee!
https://twitter.com/#!/NateHawke/sta...81481074601984

EDIT: Looks like retail versions will use no DRM at all, and online versions will use a one-time online activation:

No DRM at all for retail, but there is for digital, this i like

Ubisoft are a weird bunch, think they are trying something different with every single game to see how it plays out, some sort of gaming social experiment lol.

Game looks interesting, might be an age thing but i tend to enjoy stuff like this more than the over the top action packed FPS that saturate the market nowadays.

Maybe if everyone goes out and buys a retail copy, ubisoft might start releasing more games without drm? worth a shot?

Guess I wasn't clear, but that was kind of my point. If they notice that their games can still get good sales without drm then they might start releasing more titles drm free.

Most people wont, these days most people either buy solely retail or digital, not many are willing to do both.

I might get the retail if it uses U-Play which will auto-patch the game, and also use cloud saving, if not i will just get it on Steam.

Looking forward to this, the older i get the more i start to enjoy these type of games again.

the entry for the demo was messed up, me along with many others have the entry stuck in our game library even when it was not added in the first place, give them a bit to fix it

I also got the demo yesterday although for the life of me i cannot remember actually downloading it. Did manage to complete it yesterday but it disappeared off my library earlier on today but it has returned.....strange.

I have completed this on the 360 and is quite possibly one of the best games i have played in a while. Looking forward to playthrough 2 on the PC. The demo certainly looks very clean

I am not sure how long it took but i spent a long time on the game and there are loads of levels. This is NOT a 6 hour game. It felt twice that and certainly got my moneys worth.

If rayman PC has no DRM at all ( incl. Steam etc ) I'm going to pick it up and show my support.

I bought this game for the PS Vita (it really is terrific even on a 5" screen) and cheap for my PS3 (£15) so I don't think I'll be bothering with the PC version. Even on the PS3 the game runs at 60 fps at native 1920x1080 as it is basically a 2D Flash-type game with layers of parallax scrolling in the backgrounds. Still looks awesome though and plays beautifully. If you don't have the console version then get the PC version. It's only £20 on Steam and you get Rayman 2: The Great Escape free with it.
