Default Repartitioning the HDD. PLzzzzzzzzzz help!! - 01-02-2012, 21:12 | posts: 55 | Location: Lebanon

I have recently purchased the P755 Toshiba laptop. The laptop comes with 640GB HDD and genuine W7 64 bit.
The thing is the HDD comes as 1 partition only, and I want it as 2 instead (100GB for 1 partition and remaining for the other). Windows doesn't allow me to choose the partition amount and mostly it won't allow partitioning beyond half the disk space ~280GB. I don't want to format the HDD and loose my genuine windows and at the same time I'm in need to partition the disk according to my preference.. Any suggestions?????????????????????????

Well, some of the best things in life are free.
Try EaseUS Partition Master 9.1 Home Edition.
Worked a charm on my bro-in-law's laptop.

Same here, could expand the boot partition which can't be done with Windows tools.

Norton partition magic or Gparted will surely help.

Just format, download a windows 7 iso from anywhere, burn it and use your legit key. The windows install that comes on laptops these days is so full of crap they are unusable.

I just modded my ultimate disk to let me install home premium on my new laptop but i did have trouble deleting the old partitions, I had to use the command prompt in the windows 7 installer to wipe the whole drive.
