Default ATT BSOD with Adaptec Raid Controller - 12-25-2011, 16:21 | posts: 1

Hello,

I have been having a problem with ATT ever since I installed an adaptec 1430SA sata raid controller for my ssd drives. Whenever I launch the application, I get an irql not less or equal message relating to aar81xx.sys and I can verify this is the driver for my raid. I have updated this driver to the latest version offered by adaptec and the problem persists.

The raid controller is a 4x card in the 2nd 16x slot on the board. It seems as though the program does not like having this card in that slot. Unfortunately I have no other 4x PCI-E slots to use.

Has anyone else seen this issue? Was wondering if there are any additional command line switches available perhaps to launch the application without scanning the 2nd slot or something to that effect. Thanks lot.

I had this softRAID controller. It is very buggy. Try Promise.
