Halo: Reach -
05-13-2010, 12:40
I am in the beta. I like it so far.. better than halo 3 (only because of new functionalities) the only thing i need to get used to is the new Feel of the Spartan Mark V .. any comments?
my gt: DX6Or (you can add me if you like)
EDIT::: i am actually adding a few observations cus i didnt want to leave you wondering why i said yay or nay... it wouldnt be ethical.
likes:
*its very much different and yet very familiar, you arent Master Chief anymore.
*the motion is more characteristic of a human, havent really played an elite for long enough in order to make a claim on how the elites perform....
I Know i said that the graphics arent that much better I WAS WRONG!!!!
The graphics:
it seems that the jaggies of halo 3 arent that noticable anymore (i am using the VGA HD AVI adapter by Microsoft, and the image quality is so much more of an improvement in Reach in comparison to Halo 3 its actually playable now and not irritating to look at.
The new armor functionality and weapon loadouts:
I love these new features, i cant say any more because its undescribable....
the only thing i will try to say about this is the fact that you can change the weapon/ armor loadouts (four presets in all) right before your initial spawn and every time you spawn after untill the game is over in multiplayer...
It gives for great moments of diverse combat! The Jetpack is by far my favorite!! my second favorite is the advanced shielding stance armor, which allows you to become invinceable for a short period of time, but unable to move whatsoever unless the advanced shield is disengaged by you.
I cant say much more right now, but i will add more as i go.
please comments below if you are in the beta!
My xboxlive GT again: DX6Or ( you can add me or check out my stats if you like)

the visuals arent that much different...i do see a slight difference in the motion blur... (looks way more realistic)...
EDIT: I was wrong about the GFX, Much better than halo 3 (i havent played halo ODST so i cant say anything about it faring up against Reach in the GFX department)....
also (i edited my op).....please read it again for a little more of an actual review of the basic features of Halo: Reach.

I haven't tried it yet. How's the graphics? If the MP graphics haven't been updated I may just skip it. The only Halo I really loved & is probably my favorite game is Combat Evolved. The series kind of lost some of it's magic after that, but is still decent.

Graphics are pretty awful to be honest, but the gameplay is pretty solid, i felt the wepaons dont feel meaty enough and dont seem to do enough damage, the new armour abilities arent that great, the jet pack is pretty good tho.
Gameplay overall seems ok, invasion is pretty interesting but im not sure yet, i need to play the full game.

to each their own,, i love this game so far, Of course the gfx arent polished to completion (this is very evident with the water), but if you look close, you can see there are major improvements in this title from halo 3... i sure can tell the difference!

I've tried to log in and play it twice and both times I was getting a server error. I just don't really care at this point. Halo is fun every once and a while. But there are far better MP games out there.

i had this problem alot, try direct connecting your exbox to your cable modem, or DSL modem (or satellite)
I am trying to say that going through a router sometimes jacks up my connectivity, that is untill i directly connect my XBOX360 to my modem
my connection only jacks up most of the time when i go through my router while my pc is on the routher and my wifes pc is on it as well....
if you still have problems contact your ISP
