Default Asus M4N98TD EVO, unsupported cpu bios update. - 05-02-2010, 00:58 | posts: 141

Hi,

I'm planning on getting the M4N98TD Evo as I want to go am3 and have the option to sli in the future but seeing as the bios that supports the x6 has only recently been released chances are the board I recieve will have an older bios, does anyone know if I will at least be able to get into the bios to update it using ezflash, I wont have any other am3 cpu to put in the board other than the Thuban x6 I'll be buying along with it.

I'm sure it'll support it right out of the box considering it came out not so long ago or if you get it from newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131636 it says 6-core ready meaning they have the latest bios already on there. If you're worried about it you could always call them.

I remember way back I was calling an online retailer to see if the Asus P5W would support Core2Duo and they told me the BIOS version and they said yes and it worked .

+ The board has only had two BIOS, one that came initially 0202 (2/10/2010) and 0603 (6 core support) (03/19/2010) so most likely if you buy it now it will support it (unless you buy it from a mom/pop shop that nobody buys from lol).
